API keys
Creating, budgeting and revoking keys.
Create keys under API Keys in the console. Owners, admins and developers can create keys.
- The full key (
trodo_sk_…) is shown once. Trodo stores only a hash of it. - Each key can have its own monthly budget. A call must fit both the key's budget and the organization's; see Budgets.
- Developers can revoke the keys they created; owners and admins can revoke any key. A revoked key stops working within seconds.
- The console shows when each key was last used, so unused keys are easy to find and revoke.
Use one key per service or environment: it keeps budgets and usage separate and makes revoking one painless.
