Filters & cohorts
Narrow any report to a segment with property filters, and save segments as reusable cohorts.
Every report can be filtered down to the segment you care about. Filters apply to events, custom properties, and agent entities alike.
Operators
Build conditions with operators including:
equals, not equals, contains, not contains, greater than, less than, greater than or equal, less than or equal, is set, is not set, in, not in, is, is not, between, not between.
Combine conditions with AND.
Properties you can filter on
Standard event properties include the event identity (event_name, event_category, distinct_id), geo (country, city, region, timezone), device (browser_name, os, device_type, language), page (current_url, page_title, referrer), UTM (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and more), and Web3 (is_web3_user, wallet_address).
Any custom property you send on an event is filterable too. Trodo discovers custom property keys by sampling recent events.
Cohorts (saved segments)
A cohort is a saved filter you can reuse across reports. Define it once (for example "users in Germany on the Pro plan") and reference it as a filter on any insight, funnel, retention, or flow. Cohort membership is computed from the filter and cached briefly for speed.
